Injury update after Round 13

Newcastle Knights forward David Fa’alogo will be sidelined for at least the next month following a knee injury he suffered at training on Tuesday.
“Dave had scans yesterday and they showed he has a grade two medial ligament strain in his right knee,” Performance Director Jeremy Hickmans said.
“He will be out for the next four to six weeks.”
The Knights will also be without young forward Alex McKinnon for the next 12 weeks following ankle surgery.
McKinnon suffered the injury in the Knights Round 12 game against the South Sydney Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium, in a tackle that riled coach Wayne Bennett.
“Alex had surgery on Friday for a fractured fibula and syndesmosis damage,” Hickmans added.
“He will be out for approximately 12 weeks so we won’t get him back until about Round 24.
“It is fair to say we have been particularly unfortunate with injuries this season.”
Meanwhile Bennett hasn’t rule out the return of Danny Buderus and Akuila Uate from injury, or the late inclusion of new recruit Craig Gower, for this Sunday's game against Melbourne Storm.
“Danny is very close, whether he is back this week or not I am not sure,” Bennett said.
“I will give them until Saturday.”
Darius Boyd, who injured his ankle in Round 11 and managed to play in the opening State of Origin match just ten days later, didn't complete training on Tuesday but Bennett said that was about managing his load.
“Darius probably shouldn’t have played on Saturday,” Bennett added.
“Two games in three days wasn’t the ideal situation for him, but he didn’t want to let the boys down and he put his hand up to play.”
