Featherstone Rovers will be staging a special evening on Friday 21st June to thank our loyal volunteers. The club recently reported a turnaround in the club's finances and a profit of £10,000 during the financial period 1st January to 30th November. The club relies heavily on a loyal army of volunteers to grow in a sustainable fashion. Volunteers range from those helping to redevelopment the Railway End of the stadium to those distributing golden gamble tickets and those who undertake sometimes unnoticed tasks and activities.
On Friday 21st June, all volunteers and all supporters are invited to the Cappers Bar (bar open from 7pm) to celebrate all the hard work that is undertaken to help Featherstone Rovers. On the evening there will be a disco and a buffet with Paul Coventry providing an update on the stadium redevelopment and the story so far including pictures.
Featherstone Rovers Chief Executive Craig Poskitt said "The club is growing rapidly but we rely on the goodwill and generosity of volunteers who give up their valuable spare time to support the club. We would like to invite all supporters and volunteers to evening to celebrate and reward all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes at the club. Since joining the club I am amazed at the hard work and determination of our volunteers and would like to thank them for all their hard work and effort."
