Sheffield Eagles have announced winger and full back Vinny Finigan has joined Dewsbury Rams on a one month loan
Finigan,
who joined the Eagles originally on dual registration from Super League
side Bradford Bulls back in 2011 has found his first team chances
limited in 2013 and Eagles Head Coach Mark Aston believes the move will
be good for Finigan.
He
said, “Vinny has struggle to get much game time this season and this
move will ensure his match sharpness and fitness will remain were it
needs to be.”
“We
have a fully fledged squad ready to play every week and with that some
players won’t get as much time of the field as they’d like.”
“Nev
Morrison was in very much the same situation and we sent him to York
(City Knights) on a month’s loan earlier this year which benefited him
greatly and I’m sure this move will benefit Vinny too.”
Finigan is ineligible to play against the Eagles in next week’s Northern Rail Cup Quarter Final between Sheffield and Dewsbury.
